Cell & Tissue Technology (C&TT) established as R&D Consulting Engineer Company by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Gerhard Michael Artmann.
Prof. Artmann was a German university professor and retired in February 2017. During his academic life at the university, he reached a very high scientific level. He was invited frequently as a guest scientist for scientific conferences, as an opening lecturer, and as a keynote lecturer worldwide. Gerhard Artmann was also interviewed in Munich in 2015 about his CellDrumTM-based “Labheart” which was awarded the German Industry Prize, the ‘Querdenkerpreis’ (“Lateral Thinker Prize”). The award was presented in the “Innovation” category. Other award winners included BMW (design category) and the former Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany, Hans Dietrich Genscher (honorary award).

Fung and Prof. Shu Chien (UC San Diego) as well as Prof. Georg Bueldt (Forschungszentrum Jülich) played an important role in his scientific and personal life.
In the past, he has focused almost his research attention on basic and applied scientific research. To establish cell and tissue technologies in the future, his vast experience, creativity, artistic and effective technology development and research are greatly needed.
From 2024 on, C&TT will be representing not only the devices like CFArefer and Flow & Patch but also support R&D internationally through their laboratory/testing services.
The planning, support and implementation of R&D projects in the fields of bioengineering, drug research and the further development of scientific instruments are very important areas of responsibility for C&TT.
